The old creation, stained and marred by sin, will pass away so that perfect righteousness, holiness, and shalom can reign unchallenged throughout eternity.

In His final moments on the cross, Jesus turned to the repentant criminal and promised, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43).

4. Heaven’s inhabitants are faultless and forgiven.

This joy is deep, unending, and overflowing. We will enjoy rich fellowship, grand celebrations, and the pleasure of sharing meals with friends and loved ones around the King’s table.

“And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Jesus Himself ate after His resurrection, showing us that such delights are part of our future glory. The Tree of Life will bear twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. Heaven pulses with vibrant, abundant life and delight beyond imagination!

7. We will be rewarded in Heaven.
Our faithful Lord Jesus will personally reward every act of faithfulness done in His name. These rewards are not earned through competition but are gracious gifts flowing from the faithfulness God Himself works in us.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

“Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.”

“Each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 8. Heaven is unshakeable.
Unlike this temporary, passing world, God’s Kingdom cannot be shaken. It stands firm for all eternity, just as the prophet Daniel declared of the everlasting dominion given to the Son of Man.

In Heaven, we will enjoy perfect security and stability in the presence of our mighty, sovereign God.
9. We will live there forever with all the redeemed.
A vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language will gather around the throne, worshiping the Lamb who was slain.
Revelation 7:9-10
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
What rejoicing there will be as we reunite with family and friends who knew Christ! We will meet Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Esther, Mary, Peter, Paul, and countless others. The celebration upon your arrival will be glorious beyond words. Are you ready for this?

10. We will be with our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This is the crowning glory of Heaven – unbroken, intimate fellowship with the One who loved us and gave Himself for us on the cross.
John 14:3
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
We will be with the Lord forever. To see His face, to worship Him without distraction, to walk and talk with the Savior who died for us – this is the ultimate joy. Jesus will be the center of all things, and we will delight in Him eternally.
The best is truly yet to come!
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.”
11. Will there be animals in Heaven?
While the Bible does not explicitly promise that every beloved pet will be there, Scripture strongly indicates that animals will be part of God’s renewed creation. Visions of the new earth show animals living together in perfect peace and harmony.
Isaiah 11:6-9
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.
The cow and the bear shall graze;
Their young ones shall lie down together;
And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole,
And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.”
All creation groans for redemption along with God’s children, and one day every creature will join in praise to the Creator. The same God who cares for the sparrows and declared His original creation “very good” will surely fill Heaven with wonders of His animal kingdom, free from all suffering or fear. What added delight this reveals about our great and caring God!
Romans 8:19-23
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”
Revelation 5:13
“And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
12. Will we be married in Heaven?
Earthly marriage, as an institution for companionship and family on this earth, will not continue in the same form.
Matthew 22:30
“For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.”
However, all relationships will be perfected and deepened in pure, sacrificial love. There will be no loneliness, no loss, no brokenness – only perfect unity within God’s great family. The ultimate marriage will be celebrated between Christ, the Bridegroom, and His bride, the Church.
Revelation 19:7-9
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
